Spent the weekend here with my family. Wife and 2 teenage daughters. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. It's literally a stones throw from everything that York has to offer. The accommodation is first rate and owned and run by really friendly and informative owners. Nothing is too much trouble and the breakfasts are outstanding and set you up for the day. The rooms are clean and comfortable with on suite toilet shower and sink. WiFi is free for the techies. 10/10 for service and location. Would we stay here again? Are you kidding of course we will! I imagine later in the season it will be super busy so get your bookings in early. We can't praise it or the owners enough. Best weekend break ever. Oh and York is top notch never a dull moment lots to do and plenty of "free" attractions for all tastes.
We booked 2 nights at Queen Anne's Guest House with our children and we absolutely CANNOT fault anything about our stay. The lady and gentleman owners were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean and attractively decorated and the communal areas smelled lovely with the added homely touch of lit scented candles in the hallway. Breakfast was cracking, the kids fussy dietary needs were met and it was hot chocolates all round and smiley faces! On our arrival back to the guest house after our wedding, we had an amazing and very touching gesture of a bottle of Prosecco, chocolates, balloons and confetti awaiting us in our bedroom! In our rush to get to the wedding on time, we had left the room looking like a typhoon had hit it, we were shocked to find it had all been cleaned and tidied in our absence...much appreciated for going above and beyond! Parking wasn't an issue at all, a permit was given to us on arrival as arranged and the owners kindly extended our permit so we could spend our last day in York before leaving. A huge thank you to the staff at Queen Anne's, who all contributed to our very special wedding weekend. The little touches really do make a difference and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you. We'll be back! Thank you guys.
Fantastic place to stay, immaculately clean modern and tasteful. Great shower in the bathroom we were in the triple room which was very comfortable with 2 lovely big windows. There was a fridge, bottled water and a selection of tea and coffee. Breakfast was in a great dinning room, loads of choice for all dietary needs all of which were lovely. The hotel is close to the centre easy walking distance along the river and free parking available. Would highly recommend staying here pictures on booking didn't do it justice, I will definitely be staying here again.
Me and my partner stayed here last night! Amazing for the price! Didn't realise they had a hot tub! Will definitely have to come again to use it. The service from start to finish was perfect 10/10. The room itself was nice and cosy, very clean and couldn't hear other guests which was a bonus. Breakfast in the morning was also 10/10. Thank you
Stayed at this BnB last night. It was amazing. Cosy warm room. Lovely en suite. Tea / coffee facilities all amenities needed. Had a great nights sleep. Hot tub outside undercover if you fancy it. Breakfast was sensational and plentiful and the owners were so helpful and friendly. They could not do enough to make your stay as good as it could be. Will definitely return. 100% recommended.
We stayed on 3rd August for just one night. It's a lovely guesthouse, spotlessly clean. We had a triple room, and it was lovely, breakfast is in with the price and was delicious and hot. Our hosts were really friendly. All in all it was a great experience. The location is great too, being about a 10 to 15 minute walk (I walk slowly) from the town centre. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.
Had a fantastic stay here, mentioned it was for my husband’s birthday and a bottle of bubbly and balloons were in our room on arrival which was a lovely surprise! Requested use of the hot tub which was in a private area, with drinks and a television! It’s a great perk to have there. Room was really nice and decorated beautifully. Great location a nice short walk into the city and free parking included. Delicious cooked breakfast in the morning! Would definitely recommend and book again! Thanks Teresa and Phil! X
Had a lovely 1 night stay as part of my husband's 60th birthday celebrations (family of 3). Room was very well equipped and lots of extra nice touches added because it was his birthday. Great to be able to park for free for 2 days and fantastic location within walking distance to York centre (lovely scenic walk by the river as well). Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious (couldn't eat it all!). We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a fantastic stay x
